How to keep score
Enter exactly three names in the order you want to use around the table. Give the session a name so you can find it again after a break. The first displayed targets are three, two and five tricks. Agree who sits in each position before dealing, then use the targets shown beside the names.
Play the cards offline and enter all ten tricks after each deal. The three counts must add up to ten before Save hand is accepted. Each trick contributes one point to the running score. The next saved hand rotates the targets automatically; after three hands, everyone has needed each target once.
The starting session is six hands. That gives each player two turns at each target. You can change the length or use a different finish condition in Target & house rules before recording the first hand. Keep an equal number of rotations when you want to compare trick totals fairly.
The optional quota balance adds each player’s excess or shortfall against their targets. A player taking four tricks against a target of three adds plus one; four against five adds minus one. These balances sum to zero. They explain performance against changing quotas and do not replace the ordinary trick totals.
Card pulls are a separate table agreement. In the version described in Khel Kitab, the previous deal’s excess earns exchanges on the next deal. This counter does not draw cards, choose a return card or settle those exchanges. Do not treat the cumulative quota balance as an automatic number of cards owed.
Open Rounds to correct a saved hand. Enter the real trick counts and save the correction; the hand keeps its original targets, while totals and balances update together. Later hands remain in place. Undo reverses the latest entry or correction, and Share prepares the current standings for your group.
Before you begin
Can four people use this preset?
No. Teen Do Paanch needs three. Use Rung for two partnerships or Kuch bhi for a separate house game.
Does the counter trade cards for us?
No. Settle agreed exchanges at the table using the previous hand’s result.
Why will it not save nine tricks?
A complete deal contains ten tricks. Check all three piles and enter the missing trick.
Can I switch the quota-balance display off?
Yes, in Target & house rules before the first saved hand.
