How to keep score
Put four players into two partnerships and give each team a name. Hisaab keeps the score while you play with a real deck. Choose whether your group counts tricks, won hands or kot alone. The starting 52-point target is an adjustable house score, not a universal Court Piece rule. Agree on your scoring format before dealing.
For each hand, select the rung suit and the team that called it. Enter each team’s tricks and save the hand once one team has at least seven. There are at most thirteen tricks in a deal. A 7–6 result wins a hand but is not a kot. A team taking the first seven unanswered tricks earns a kot; mark that sweep when later tricks have also been played.
The kot counter sits beside each team’s running score. A 7–0 entry already identifies the unanswered first seven. If your group finishes the whole deal, a final 10–3 alone cannot prove who took the first seven, so the scorekeeper must confirm the sweep. Open Rounds to correct tricks, caller, suit or the sweep marker without deleting later hands.
Set the phone where everyone can see the score without blocking the game. Use nicknames so the next person knows whose turn it is. Before the first round, agree on the target, what counts as a point and which house rules apply. A scorekeeper records decisions made by your group; it cannot decide whether a catch, call or guess was fair.
Take a moment after each turn to read the new total aloud. If someone spots a mistake, correct it before starting the next turn. Keep one person in charge of the phone at a time so two taps do not record the same event twice. Pass the phone carefully and keep drinks away from it.
Your session is saved in this browser on this phone. Locking the screen or briefly switching apps does not end a saved match. Return using the same browser to continue. Private browsing, clearing website data or changing phones can remove the score sheet, so share a final copy if your group wants to keep it.
Open the page online once and wait for it to finish loading before heading somewhere without a signal. The visited helper can then reopen offline on the same browser. WhatsApp still needs a connection to send the message. A share button prepares text for you to check; nothing is posted to a group automatically.
Before you begin
Does every seven-trick win earn a kot?
No. Seven tricks win the hand. Kot here records the first seven unanswered tricks, not an ordinary 7–6 win.
Is 52 the official target?
No. It is a configurable house target for this score sheet. Choose your group’s target and scoring method.
Can I change the trump on a saved hand?
Yes. Open Rounds, choose the hand and correct its suit, caller and tricks.
Does Hisaab deal or play the cards?
No. Your group plays offline; this page records its agreed results.
