Urdu lexemes and senses were checked against English Wiktionary, by Wiktionary contributors, via Kaikki's Urdu extraction:

Each record includes its individual dictionary source URL. Changes by Chai Games: selection of short answers, Roman Urdu canonical spellings and accepted variants, original short English and Urdu explanations, and original usage examples. No dictionary quotations, poems or example sentences are reproduced.

Three supplemental lexical checks link to Rekhta for baazi, rasmi and lota. Those links support lexical facts; Rekhta prose and examples are not redistributed. The site code, artwork and fonts are separate works with their own ownership and licences.

Runtime files urdu.json and roman.json are base64 UTF-8 envelopes containing the corresponding records. They are encoded to avoid accidental puzzle spoilers, not to restrict access to this licensed data.
